Mellott - Mrs. Sina Belle Cooper, age 94, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday Nov. 23, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Beulah M. Hoover, in Walton, Ind. Mrs. Cooper was born Dec. 29, 1872, in Mellott, the daughter of Sampson and Rachael Strader. She was married May 31, 1892, in Covington to James R. Cooper, who died June 4, 1958. She was a member of the Undenominational Church. Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Hoover and Mrs. Adah Baity of Walton, Mrs. Elsie Thompson of Mellott and Mrs. Daisy Drew of Laurel; four sons, Freeman of Sheridan, Glenn of Lebanon, Everett and Fred, both of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Mettee of Veedersburg and Mrs. Oakie LaBaw of Danville, Ill.; 25 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. Weldon Burgess officiated and burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
